Pine Mountain!

As weekend warriors we are pretty good at packing our gear quickly and hitting the road and this trip was no different! We called up some friends, loaded up the car, including Bo our cat, and headed up the mountain.

Pine Mountain is a special place! It's high enough to get snow (which it did the night before our trip) and close enough to the ocean that you can even see the harbor from the top of the ridge. It's a two hour drive from the beach to the pine covered peak and it's one of our favorite places to get away. Unfortunately the road is closed most of winter, so we try to make it up the mountain as often as we can while the road is open.

It was colder than we had expected, so we all got to work setting up camp, warming up for a game of pineball. No matter how old we get, we still like to play as if we were still 8 years old!

It was a great weekend with friends and family, full of campfire stories, games and hiking! Can't wait for our next pine mountain adventure!
